1. What is “Fudasho”?
Fudasho is like visiting each designated temples and get the temple stamp in the special stamp collection notebook. You can purchase one of the Fudasho temples.
It is said in Chichibu there are total 34 Kannon temples. Kannon is known as the goddess of mercy.
In Edo period, (1603-1867), a lot of local residents were walking around those temples to wish their health, work, economic fortune, and so on.
One cycle for visiting all 34 temples is approximately 100km. You go across valley, mountain path, and through Chichibu nature.

3. How can you visit all 34 Fudasho temples?
Most temples are located close to central area of Chichibu. So it may be better to stay at any hotel in Chichibu-city then you can go to any of the temples by public transport.
Some of them are further locations so you may need to use a taxi or transfer service.
This is sort of long journey, but should be wonderful adventure to experience Chichibu nature trip!
