by Soba-Fuku, means the Soba (buckwheat noodle) will bring you luckiness! Chichibu is one of the famous sightseeing areas as Soba village. So there are a lot of Soba restaurants.
The Soba-Fuku is known for mainly only local and limited residents. And the restaurant is located in deeper Chichibu mountain area. To visit this Soba restaurant and eat Soba there are kind of your adventure!
1. In Back of Mountain
The meaning of Fuku for this restaurant means “Lucky”. You might get any luckiness if you eat Soba there!
It may be difficult? Inconvenience? Actually the access to get to Soba-Fuku restaurant may be hard. But, that also makes you feel adventure! This is one of the fun things for rural trips!
Even if you drive, you might feel exciting? or a little bit nervous? The driveway is in the mountain and more narrow.
Or, you can get a taxi from Mitsumineguchi station. It takes approximately less than 10 minutes.
You may be able to catch public transport, but it is not operated frequently.
However, the concept for Chichibu trip is to enjoy the inconvenience and the nature. It also should be so exciting to overcome such difficulty!
2. Great Atmosphere for Soba Eating
Here is the gate to Soba-Fuku! (From Google Map) When you see the sign そば福, that is the way to enter the Soba-Fuku!
Then once you enter the way at the そば福 sign, you can see the restaurant. It’s surrounded in mountain!
3. Walnut Soba is My Favorite
My favorite is Walnut Soba (Kurumiwari-soba). If you see the menu from the website, that is くるみざるそば or くるみ天ざるそば.
くるみざるそば(Kurumizaru-soba) is just like normal cold soba. くるみ天ざるそば(Kurumi-tenzaru-soba) is that Tempura is added to the Kurumizaru-soba.
